Privacy policy

In short. Your journal is private. No human reads your pages. They are encrypted and hosted in Europe, never sold, never used to train an AI. You can see and correct everything the app has kept in My space, and you can delete everything.
1. Who is responsible

2. What the app keeps
- Your account: an identifier created by the app, your first name if you give it, and, if you save your journal, your Sign in with Apple identifier (Apple can hide your email) or your email address.
- Your journal: your pages (title, text), your mood and its words, your photos and stickers, the dates.
- Your goals: goals, actions, days, times, what you did or didn't do.
- What the app kept from your pages: a few short sentences, topics, an estimated mood. All of it is visible and editable in My space.
- Your notifications and settings: planned and sent notifications, your answers, how often, quiet hours, your time zone, your language, and the technical token used to send a notification to your phone.
- Your consents: the date and version of what you accepted.
- Your subscription: its status (trial, active, expired), never your payment details, which stay with Apple.
- Anonymous usage statistics and crash reports (see sections 7 and 8).
- A security log: the date, a code (for example "refused call", "limit reached", "account deleted") and the account identifier. Never any text.
Nothing leaves your phone before you accept the "Your journal is private" screen at first launch.
3. Pages that may talk about health
In a journal, people sometimes write about their health, their mood or their private life. This can be sensitive data. The app only processes it with your explicit consent, given at first launch ("I agree that the app reads my pages to prepare my notifications"). You can withdraw this consent at any time by deleting your account (section 10). The app never gives medical advice and is not a medical or emergency service.

5. The AI that reads your pages
When you save a page, its text is read automatically by an AI from a provider hosted in the European Union. Photos and stickers are never read. No human reads your pages. Your pages are not used to train an AI. The AI can make mistakes: everything it kept can be edited or deleted in My space. Details: How the app reads your pages.
6. Who else is involved
Providers act on behalf of Mon Ère, under contract, and only for what is listed. The list of their names is available on request at monere.application@gmail.com.

When a provider is outside the European Union, the transfer is covered by an adequacy decision (Data Privacy Framework) or by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. A notification may mention the action you chose, or a hard moment your page clearly described, to encourage you; it never quotes your journal.
Your data is never sold or used for advertising.
7. Anonymous usage statistics
To improve the app, it anonymously counts the screens opened and the buttons tapped (for example "page created", "goal added"). These statistics never use your account identifier, never what you write, never anything about your health, and your IP address is not kept. They are on by default after the first launch. You can turn them off at any time: My space → My journal is private → Usage statistics. Nothing is sent after that.
8. Crash reports
If the app crashes, a technical report (device, version, place in the code) may be sent so the problem can be fixed. It never contains your journal text.
9. How long
- Your account and journal: as long as your account exists.
- After a deletion request: if your journal is saved with Apple or an email address, it is kept 30 days so you can change your mind by signing in again, then erased. With "Delete right away", or for a journal that was never saved, it is erased at once.
- Technical backups: erased within the following 30 days.
- Security log: 6 months, including after an account is deleted.
- Anonymous statistics: 25 months at most.
- Crash reports: 90 days at most.
- Messages to support: while your request is handled, then 3 years at most.
10. Your rights
You can access your data, correct it, erase it, receive it in a file, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and withdraw your consent. Most of this is done directly in the app:
- See and correct what the app kept: My space → What the app kept.
- Export your pages and all your data: My space → My journal is private → Export my journal.
- Turn off statistics: My space → My journal is private → Usage statistics.
- Stop notifications: My space → My notifications, or the iPhone settings.
- Delete your account: My space → My journal is private → Delete my account (details).
For anything else, write to monere.application@gmail.com: answer within one month. If you think your rights are not respected, you can complain to the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr), or to the authority of your country.
11. Security
Connections are encrypted. On the server, data is encrypted and each account can only reach its own data. On your phone, the journal is encrypted, and you can lock the app with Face ID. Nobody reads your pages, including the app's publisher.
12. Age
Mon Ère is for people aged 18 or over.
13. This website
This website uses no cookies, no statistics and no scripts.
14. Changes
If this policy changes in an important way, the app will tell you before the change applies. The update date is at the top of this page.
